- Take 6-7 cup water..
- Prepare 1/2 tsp fenugreek
- Provide 1 whole chilli
- Provide 1 tbsp sambhar masala
- Take 1 tbsp chopped coriander
- Provide 3-4 green chilli in pieces
Steps to make Vegetable Idli Sambar:
- To make better soak rice and urad dal at least for 8 hours..then crush it in the mixture by adding necessary water into it…
- Add fruit salt and curd in it…stir it well and cover it with lid tightly…then give it rest for at least 8 hours…for fermentation….
- For sambhar boiled tur dal chana dal and 1 chopped tomato altogether…..in a cooker…take 3 to 4 cities.
- Then take it in a tapeli and add 8 cup water….crushed it with handy mixie…
- Now put it on the flame.Add red chilli powder, coriander and turmeric powder and salt to taste. Stir it well.
- Boiled it for 10 minutes and add sambhar masala…also add cut green chillies.
- Take 1 tbsp oil in a little kadai.. add mustard seed. Pinch of hing and then add chopped onions…saute it fof 2 minutes and add chopped tomatoes…also saute it for 1 minutes
- Add this mixture to the sambhar…let's give tadka to the sambhar..for that take oil in a little kadai.add 1 tsp mustard seed and 1/2 tsp jeera,methi dana,and asfoetida, add curry patta and red chilli.. powder..add it into sambhar
- Boiled the sambhar for 15 minutes and add chopped coriander lastly..
- Let's prepare veg idli…for that preheat steamer for 10 minutes…grease idli stand with oil…
- Take idli better and add all chopped vegetables into it.. (tomato, capsicum and onions…you can also add carrots) Add crushed green chillies and salt to taste…also add hot oil (1tsp) and pinch of fruit salt..Stir it and mix it well.
- Now with the help of big spoon fill greased idli stand with idli better..and put it in the preheated steamer…after 10 to 15 minutes check it with knife.. if it is cooked…take it out and keep aside for 5 minutes…then unmold it..
- Serve veg idli with sambhar and coconut chutney.
