The ingredients needed to prepare Sambar:
  1. Provide 1/4 cup Tuvar dal
  2. You need 2 tomatoes
  3. You need 2 onions
  4. Take 1 carrot
  5. Get 3-4 beans
  6. Get 1 drumsticks
  7. You need 1 brinjal
  8. You need 1 potato
  9. You need 2 tbsp Red chilli powder
  10. Get 2 tbsp coriander powder
  11. Get 1/3 tbsp turmeric powder
  12. You need 3 tbsp sambar powder
  13. You need 1 tbsp mustard seed
  14. Provide 1 tbsp fenugreek seeds
  15. Prepare as required Oil
  16. You need as per taste Salt
  17. Prepare Some coriander leaves chopped
  18. Use Few curry leaves
Instructions to make Sambar:
  1. Cut all the vegetables into medium size.
  2. Clean the Tuvar dal. Add the Tuvar dal and all the vegetables in a pressure cooker
  3. Cook it up-to 5 whistles
  4. After the cooker releases the pressure. Give a tadka. Heat oil add mustard seed, fenugreek seeds, curry leaves
  5. Add 1 cup of water. Add the masala, red chilli powder, coriander powder, turmeric powder, sambar powder and salt.
  6. Let it boil until it gives a nice aroma from the sambhar.Now finally garnish with coriander leaves. Sambar is ready
